Research has shown that the pressure placed on baby’s head and neck during the birthing process is significant, even in those with straight forward births. Whilst many of these babies naturally recover others can be left feeling very uncomfortable. This can result in difficulties with feeding and sleeping, an inability to lie on their back and an overall feeling of unsettledness. These symptoms tend to be more common in babies that have had assistance when making their entry into the world such as caesarean sections, forceps or ventouse.
Our highly skilled team of chiropractors, experienced in handling young babies, are trained to assess and help relieve skeletal and neuro-muscular imbalances with ongoing handling tips for parents and carers. The focus of care is on the cranium, the spine, the sacrum and surrounding fascia, restoring balance and allowing them to grow and function at their optimum.
